The Citizens of Glendale are proud to announce the first annual Hometown Christmas Parade taking place on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Historic Downtown Glendale. This parade highlights all the magic and wonder of Christmas in a parade.

This will be an old-fashioned community event for the whole family—to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and all its glory. We are inviting churches, businesses and other community groups from all over the Valley to join us for this very special parade.

The parade route will begin at the Fire Station just south of 52nd Avenue and Glendale Avenue. It will proceed west on Glendale through the Historic Downtown Glendale area to 58th Avenue. At 58th Ave., the route will head south to the de-staging parking areas on 58th Ave. between Glendale and Lamar Road.

There are many ways to be involved: parade entry (float, singing group, etc.), volunteer, committee member, and Community Champion. Click here for the list of Community Support opportunities to join us. As you can see, there are many benefits to supporting the Hometown Christmas Parade. We will be kicking off the event in late July. A mailer will be sent to 1,800 churches in the Valley, along with a follow-up phone call. We have a very impressive marketing campaign in the works and a devoted committee working behind the scenes.

We hope you will join us as a leader in the community and support the Hometown Christmas Parade. If you have any questions, please contact Don Mellon at 602-369-8817 or Julie Peterson at 602-460-4472 or Julie@gbump.com.

The Hometown Christmas Parade is produced by the non-profit organization, Celebrate Christmas, which is made up of community members who share a passion for letting the true star of Christmas shine.
